Ingredients

- 1 cup Basmati rice.
- 2 cups Stock (chicken, beef, or vegetable).
- 1/4 cup Barberries.
- 1/2 White onion, chopped.
- 3 tbs Butter.
- 1 tbs Olive oil.
- 1 tbs Rose water.
- Pinch of saffron.
- Salt & pepper.
Instructions
- Melt the saffron in the rose water.
- In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil and add the onions.
- Sweat the onion then add the rice.
- Season with salt and pepper and toast for a bit.
- Add the barberries and mix.
- Pour in the stock after heating.
- Lower the heat and cover.
- Cook for 10-15 mins.
- Uncover and pour in the rose water and stir with a fork.
Notes: Serve with grilled chicken or beef.
