Chinese Beef Stir Fry


Number of Servings: 2
  • 1/2 kg Beef tenderloin, thin strips.
  • 1 tbs Soy Sauce.
  • 2 tbs Cornstarch.
  • Black pepper.
  • 2 tbs Sesame Oil.
  • 1 Carrot, thin sticks.
  • 1 Bell pepper, thin strips.

For the Sauce:

  • 4 tbs Soy Sauce.
  • 1 tbs Brown sugar.
  • 1 tbs Rice vinegar.
  • 1 tbs Siracha.
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced.
  • 1 tbs Ginger, minced.
  • 1 Red chilli, rings.


  1. In a mixing bowl, add the beef, soy sauce, black pepper and cornstarch. Massage by hand.
  2. Mix the sauce ingredients well in a small bowl.

To Cook the Beef:

  1. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat until smoking hot.
  2. Add the beef and stir nonstop for 2—3 mins.
  3. Remove from pan and add the vegetables and the water, and cook for 3 mins.
  4. Add the beef back, and pour in the sauce and cook for 2 mins until the sauce thickens.
Notes: Serve with Chinese fried rice.
